MC-Productions.be a brand of Tools4Video BV Joins SRT Alliance for High Quality, Low Latency Video Streaming Over the Internet
Tools4Video BV will use SRT to develop hardware encoder/decoders and tools.
Alken, July 15th 2020 – MC-Productions.be a brand of Tools4Video BV, today announced that they have joined the SRT Alliance, the open-source initiative dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming.
As part of - Tools4Video’s overall strategy to develop high end video products, the company joined SRT Alliance to be able to use the new innovative and reliable video transport protocols in upcoming products.

The SRT Alliance, founded by Haivision in April 2017, already has more than 350 members. Its mission is to overcome the challenges of low-latency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) Open Source, the fastest growing open source streaming project. SRT is a free open source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.
“With the SRT Alliance, Tools4Video is proud joining an industry movement to improve the way the world streams video,” said Marc Colemont, owner of Tools4Video BV. “The SRT protocol, actively implemented by many small and big companies, we believe will become the defacto standard for low latency internet streaming in the near future. Currently it is challenging to provide reliable high performance sub-second connections between event locations, studio’s, and Live streaming events. With the SRT protocol it is possible to achieve these high quality video connections. That combined with the SRT gateways we can provide and develop professional solutions for our customers as systems integrator and B2B sales with MC-Productions.be, and for rental applications through LiveCut.tv as a service.”
